Honesty

Sometimes it is a temptation and easier to cover things over.
I can tell you that in my life, the cost of this practice has been great.

It significantly weakened my relationship with my husband.  I am so thankful we have
worked through the most difficult time of our marriage and have come to a place where
our love is more deep and real than it has ever been. Our relationship is more open and
real than it has ever been. It holds the beauty of what I have always felt a marriage could be.

Sometimes honesty hurts. We don't want to hurt those we love
and they don't want to hurt us. In withholding the truth,
we actually rob each other of  the healing and joy and depth
that is experienced in an honest relationship.

I don't wish to simplify because there were  a lot of areas of both of our hearts that had to be
searched, understood and set free. We gave each other the freedom and grace to do this and
we had the blessing of God.  He had given us the Grace to come to the place where
we could both embrace all that we were learning.

In this time we both experienced many revelations about living, loving and ourselves.

Now, it truly is a new beginning. Beautiful and pure. Real... Solid ... Lasting...

And the foundation of all of this was honesty.

{We can always be honest with God. He already knows the
depth of our heart and He loves us just the same.}

To See Family

Travelling is such a wonderful way to spend time... to just spend time...

And when you add the reason of visiting family and seeing new places, it makes it
especially captivating and memorable.

During this time, God has shown me so many amazing things. I am excited to be back and
to share with you the goodness of everdyday life.

The three younger girls with their uncle.

Brother and sister..

We just love family and spending time with my family back
east has been a priority for many years.

Making regular visits with my siblings has been a highlight
of my travels since I have lived in the west.

I am very thankful to have a good relationship with both of my special
brothers and my two wonderful sisters.

My family is wonderful. They're so supportive and loving. I'm very grateful for them. I hope to always be able to help them and to someday possibly live closer to them. When I think of them, I know that I have experienced the blessings that only come when God gives us siblings.

A Moment of Thanksgiving...

What a beautiful time of year it is. Beginning with Thanksgiving. Thinking of all the

blessings  that endow my life, how can I be anything but thankful.

If I allow my focus to stray, I will soon forget the stores of treasures in my life.

My heart pours out thankfulness for His mercies that are renewed every morning and I

am more thankful than I can say for His grace that touches my life and gives me hope.

As I reflect on the measure of  Faith that God has given me and how He has nurtured and

allowed it to grow, blesses me beyond words that I can speak.

I hope that your heart is able to see some of the many blessings in your life and that your
joy increases as you reflect on His love for you.

Pounding the nail...

Feeling Disconnected...and Vulnerable...

I am feeling very disconnected to words. Is it a dry time? I am not sure. What happens

when this occurs?

I cannot seem to focus on my topics. I sit and try to write.. I sit and and try to think.

I type and delete... type and delete...trying to make some sense of  the words.

Trying to make them connect and have meaning to me....and feel my words..

Trying to write something that will reach my readers.. touch them in some

special way. How can I reach them when I, myself, seem so far away..

I am feeling numb inside..maybe that's why I can't feel the words either.. I cannot

feel. As I was sitting here thinking, it occurred to me that I should write about that..

It is the most that I have been able to type in almost a month.

I think I understand a little. I had this idea for a post about a 2 months ago..  It was

about wanting to be real. And in that, then taking the time to feel. Feeling allows

the reality of dealing with life's circumstances. Thinking about... pondering and

allowing oneself to walk in grace... and then, and only then, can true healing begin.

I didn't realize that it would be the fruit of my own experience. I had it more in mind

to be that of a encouragement to others.. Maybe this will be even more encouraging..

Because it's about transparency..

I am relatively new to this. Transparency.. I am trying.

To walk there....
