The Last Days of Summer

As much as I enjoy fall, I say goodbye to the summer days with mixed feelings. This has been
such a beautiful season. The wind didn't blow with it's usual furry this spring and the summer rains
have been soaking and refreshing. The nights didn't cool off as they ususally do. It has been a
summer to enjoy for sure. One that I am very thankful for.

These long days make for quiet moments and working in the garden. Family walks and time to enjoy
the warmth of the sun and the shade of the trees are a few of the things that I enjoy about this time of year.

My thoughts sometimes shift to the changing of the season and what the next one will bring. There always things to enjoy and appreciate...

        To be thankful for....to relish.

I am on vacation. Sitting here in the library where I grew up checking out books and then bringing
my kids here. I will be trying to post some about our trip. I don't have access to the internet much so my posts are few and far between!  I hope you are enjoying the last days of your summer where ever that may be.

Blessings,
